Thousands try tipples to tantalise taste buds
Ale and cider lovers packed out the Pavilion in Bath to enjoy a beer festival over the weekend.
The two-day Bath Pavilion Beer Festival, which included afternoon and evening sessions, was held for the second time and saw around 2,000 people go along and sample 90 different tipples.
Organiser Chris Lilley said he was pleased that it had proved so popular and said the turn-out had surpassed his expectations.
He said: "I think people enjoy the whole ambience of the festival and also the music and the people.

"The atmosphere here is like a pub, but with a massive choice of drinks for them to choose from."
He added: "Lots of people follow these types of festivals and we get a lot of people travelling from all over the place. It is just a nice way to spend the weekend."
The Pavilion used to host a beer festival organised by the Bath branch of the Campaign for Real Ale until a disagreement over whether glass or plastic beakers could be used led the pressure group to organise a separate event.
Amy Witwicki, 26, from Peasedown St John, was at the event with her family and said they were enjoying the day out.
She said: "We have been picking drinks by the names and scoring them. So far we have liked Mine Beer and Apples and Pears.
"It is quite nice because there are six of us so we are able to get different drinks and try a little bit of everyone's."
Her brother Adam, 31, added: "I have been to quite a few of these festivals and it is just nice to sample lots of different beers.
"It is a pleasant atmosphere."
Couple Nicola James and Scott Wonfor had travelled down from Birmingham to her home town to attend the festival.
Miss James, whose parents live in Box, said: "I'm going for the ones with the funny names at the moment.
"We've liked some of the ciders, including Pig Swill and Pheasant Plucker."
