One of many successes at Bath's Mission Theatre, which celebrates its fifth birthday this year, is the Theatre Suppers in the upstairs theatre.

They started with a production of A Visit from Miss Protheroe which was a two-hander with Lesley Langley and Dave Dunn.

The pair are back on Thursday, February 11, this time with John Godber's September in the Rain.

The highlight of the year for Yorkshire miner Jack and his wife Liz is a week in Blackpool taken in the climatically dodgy month of September.

Looking back over their life together and while waiting for the coach to take them home from yet another holiday, Jack and Liz recall memories of the fun and frustrations encompassed in their long marriage.

Tickets to include dinner cost £25. Call 01225 428600 or email nextstagebath@aol.com.

At the Rondo Theatre in Larkhall tonight you can see Russell Kane in Fakespeare: the Tragickal Saveings of King Nigel at 8pm.

Following a sell-out Edinburgh fringe run, Russell brings us his celebrated blank verse bonanza.

Then tomorrow night Ministry of Entertainment brings Goodbye Mrs Chips to Bath at 8pm.

After more than half a century of service at Brookshields School as dinner lady, Mrs Chipping is hanging up her potato masher.

Next Wednesday at 8pm you can see Jo Caulfield in Jo Caulfield Won't Shut Up and on Thursday Penny Dreadful Productions performs The Missionary Position again at 8pm. Step into the world of Music Hall. Tickets on 01225 463362.
