I am writing with good news and with heartfelt thanks to the great number of Bath Chronicle readers who have so kindly supported the Wesley Owen bookshop in Bath during the last few trying and testing months. Our story (about possible closure) was highlighted in an article in the Bath Chronicle on December 2.

I am very pleased to be able to report that, while 26 of the 40 shops in the Wesley Owen chain are still in administration, here in Bath we have a new lease of life under new ownership having been bought by Australia's premier Christian bookselling chain, Koorong.

Our shop in the Forum Buildings is busy restocking with Lent and Easter resources and looking forward to serving our local communities for many years to come.

I seriously don't believe we would be in this position without the support, thoughtfulness and, above all, prayer which we have received from so many people, for which my colleagues and I are profoundly grateful.
