Team Bath Buccs ladies fall to league leaders Exe
Team Bath Buccs ladies 1sts were unable to complete a league double over West Clubs Premier Division 1 leaders Exe as they were handed a 2-1 defeat in Devon.
A delayed start did little to help the visitors and they fell 2-0 behind after six minutes, the second goal coming from a penalty stroke after keeper Kelly Bowden diverted a shot onto a defender’s foot.

Lara Wiliamson and Steph Baker had chances for Buccs before the break and they pulled one back when captain Helen Earle netted from a well-worked penalty corner.
The 2nds climbed into mid-table comfort in Premier Division B after winning 1-0 against Newquay and 4-2 against Redland at the University of Bath.

Buccs 3rds will have their work cut out to finish second in East Division 2 after losing 3-0 at Weymouth and drawing 1-1 at home to West Wilts.
The 4ths remain top of Wessex Division 1 after drawing 2-2 with Marlborough, who could still pip them the title.
Penny Post twice gave Buccs the lead but they were pegged back on both occasions in an exciting game.
They stay two points ahead of Marlborough but have one game remaining to the Wiltshire side’s two.
Buccs 5ths battled back from 2-0 down to earn a 2-2 draw with Clevedon. Claire Connell and Lisa Hamblin found the net and Adele Wright and Caryl Thomas were the players of the match.
