Tea room launched in former Walrus eaterie in Bath
Tea rooms have opened at a former restaurant in the centre of Bath.
Barton's Tea Room, formerly the Walrus and Carpenter, in Barton Street, opened earlier this month 18 months after the restaurant closed.
The Walrus and Carpenter had been open for nearly 40 years and was a well-known part of Bath nightlife.
The new venture is being run by Joanna Goddard, who owns the building and was the original owner of the Walrus and Carpenter along with her husband Frankie.

Manager Peter Scott said: "This is a rebrand, serving fine teas and coffees. Everyone who remembers the Walrus has got older and we're done with the late evenings, and enjoy afternoon teas."
Barton's Tea Room sells a selection of home-made cakes, light lunches and cream teas.
At the moment it is open Tuesday to Saturday but there are plans to extend through the rest of the week during the spring and summer.
Customers will also notice that the current window display includes skies and a sledge as well as cakes.
Mr Scott said the plan was to change the window display to fit the season.
