Tea party fundraiser
The charity Age UK Bath and North East Somerset is to hold a tea party at St Michael's Day Centre to raise funds for its Bake Off appeal next month.
The tea party will open to the public from 3pm at the day centre next to the Little Theatre cinema on Wednesday, December 12.
Volunteers and supporters will serve tea, coffee, home- made cakes and biscuits. There will also be homemade produce and crafts for sale, a guess the weight of the cake competition and a raffle.
The appeal is raising funds for the charity's Fit as a Fiddle programme which combats loneliness and ill health. Almost 300 older people take part in the classes each week, but the charity needs to find £25,000 to continue to run it in the new year.

Age UK also has spaces for its popular beginners' classes in computers. The ongoing courses have vacancies for January onwards but spaces are limited and so people are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
