Tap into Database at Bath Races finale
So you thought it was all over? Well the season at Bath Racecourse will be by Wednesday evening when the Freebets Apprentice Handicap brings a marathon eight-race card to a close at 5.30pm.
Looking particularly competitive is the second division of the John Smith's Maiden Stakes. Saeed Bin Suroor has an amazing record here this season with a 30 per cent strike rate so his colt, Database, must be fancied even though a claimer gets the leg up.

Brian Meehan, Richard Hannon and John Hills all have decent horses in this event too so each-way bets may be available. It should be really competitive.
Willie Haggas's filly, Excellent Thought, should be a well deserved favourite in the third race, while local trainer Andy Haynes has unusually booked Richard Hughes for his Robens Rock – a costly colt by Rock Of Gibraltar, once owned by Sir Alex Ferguson and subject of some controversy when he retired to stud. Excellent Thought is easily preferred, though.
There are not many runners compete in the evening's staying race, the two-mile Freebets.co.uk Handicap and Amanda Perrett's Saborido looks to have a good chance. Like her father, Guy Harwood, Amanda likes horses who can stay, and this one really does.
Beckhampton trainer Roger Charlton has not had the best of season's this year but he could take the closing apprentice affair with consistent Truly Asia, though Ron Hodges' hard-working Magroom would be a popular one to finish on at Lansdown.
And that will be it for racing in Bath this year. We'll have to follow Bath Rugby for the winter and hope they learn to finish better than of late.
