Talented twosome on cup shortlist
Olly Woodburn and Tom Heathcote are in the running for the inaugural LV= Cup Breakthrough Player award following their promising performances in this year's competition.
Winger Woodburn's try against Northampton Saints on Saturday was his third in as many LV= Cup matches, while fly-half Heathcote contributed 27 points in total in October's wins against Newport Gwent Dragons and Worcester Warriors.
They are in a 20-strong field of emerging talent nominated for the award, which will be whittled down to a shortlist of six before voting is opened up to supporters.
The winner will receive the Breakthrough Player trophy, a Tag Heuer watch and a £1,000 donation to a local grassroots club of their choice.
