Surprise visit from Mayor of Bath is icing on 100th cake for Marjorie Button
A Bath woman celebrated reaching the age of 100 with a party attended by friends and family.
Marjorie Button was treated to tea and cake at Stratton House residential home, and had a surprise visit from the Mayor of Bath councillor Andy Furse.

Born in Kent, she worked as a secretary and married her husband Gerald in 1935.
After the birth of their daughter Julia in 1943, the family moved back to Kent in 1946 and their son Roger was born the following year. Mrs Button has four grandchildren.
