Supermarket to close for two weeks in £500k revamp
A small Bath supermarket will close this weekend for almost two weeks while it is given a £500,000 makeover.
The Co-op in Bear Flat is due to close on Saturday and will not reopen until Thursday, November 22, so builders can move in for the refurbishment project.
The new-look store will sell a greater variety of products, including more of the premium Truly Irresistible range.
There will also be an increased selection of fine wines, as well as more fresh and chilled produce, and more ready meals.

Jan Raine, manager of the Wellsway store, said: "This store has served the Wellsway community for many years. We know that local people love shopping with us, and we love to serve them, but we have also been considering ways in which we can better serve this local community.
"The new-look store will be packed with modern and interesting meal ideas that are quick and easy to put together. We know our shoppers lead busy lives, and our dedicated and knowledgeable store team will be on hand to assist customers and make recommendations as they pop in and out of the store.
"We understand closing the store for a period of time may inconvenience some of our loyal customers, but it is a measure we have to take in order to deliver a Co-operative food store that really suits the needs of people that live and work in and around Wellsway."
