After a weather-affected first day, Surry's one-under-par round of 70 put him in tied fifth place, two shots behind the overnight leader.
But it was for the final day with improved conditions that he saved his best golf, putting pressure on the leaders with four under par on the front nine, finally posting a score of seven under for the day.

With Surry in the clubhouse, former European Tour player Lee James needed to eagle the last to force a play-off. His birdie left the home player at the top of the leaderboard.
Surry continued his good form at this week's event at Caversham Heath, recording rounds of 73 and 67 to finish in tied fifth on six under par and pick up a £487 prize.
