Super Sam strikes again for Renegades
CHIPPENHAM LEAGUE Sam Jordan wrote his name into the SK Fruits Limited Chippenham Sunday League record books by scoring an eighth consecutive hat-trick for Bradford Renegades.
The hot-shot eclipsed the previous best of seven in the Division 1 leaders' 6-1 triumph over Biddestone White Horse last weekend.
His treble, together with two Lance Davis goals and one from Mark Robinson, helped Renegades seal a fourth straight league win and their eighth in all competitions.
Joe Lye replied for Biddestone, who were also beaten 5-3 by Bradford earlier in the campaign.

Paul Newbury grabbed a last-minute winner for Corsham Untied as they beat Castle 5-4 in one of the league's games of the day.
Jacob Wrobel fired Castle in front before a James Hernandez double and strikes from Joe Pritchard and Darrin Moss put Corsham 4-1 up. Joe Unsworth struck twice and Jonny Emm once to haul Castle level before Newbury settled the nine-goal thriller.
Biddestone Social wrapped up a quick-fire double over AFC Melksham to move three points clear at the top of the Premier Division table.
The defending champions won 3-2 at Melksham the previous Sunday and followed that up with a 4-1 success at Yatton Road to take advantage of nearest rivals FC Jager's inactivity.
Ashley Fletcher gave Melksham an early lead but goals from Dave Thompson, Nathan Phillimore, Martin Johnson and Rob Pocock wrapped up victory for the hosts.
Corsham Park Rangers bounced back from their first defeat of the season with a 5-3 success over Pig & Whistle United in Division 3.
Owen Bryan returned to action with a double, while Matthew Spear also netted twice and Joe Forester added the other for Rangers. Sean Mear, Rob O'Harrow and Darren Morris, from inside his own half, replied for United.
A patched-up FC North Wiltshire side were down to the bare bones for the visit of Trowbridge Rangers but still ran out 6-1 victors to keep the pressure on Division 4 pace-setters Old Road.
Ex-Corsham Centre hitman Simon Gray showed he has lost none of the guile that made him one of the league's top strikers a few years ago, bagging a hat-trick, while Dan Deacon scored two and Derek Reed notched his first for the club. Debutant Elliott Hinton replied for Rangers.
