Super Sam continues scoring streak as Bradford Renegades run riot
CHIPPENHAM LEAGUE Sam Jordan took his goal tally for the season past the half-century mark as Bradford Renegades thrashed Wren 14-0 in the presstoprint-sponsored Eric Hughes Memorial Cup second round.
The Division 1 high-fliers proved too strong for Wren, who are struggling in Division 2, at Poulton and hot-shot Jordan led the way with seven goals. He now has 53 to his name in only 12 outings this term.
Lance Davis scored three, Josh Maguire grabbed a brace and singles from Mark Robinson and Dan Jordan made up the winners' tally as they progressed to the last eight.
Biddestone White Horse joined them after defeating Division 2 opponents Goatacre CC 4-2.

Goatacre paid the price for missing a host of gilt-edged chances as Tom Lye's double – his first coming direct from a corner – a Leigh Rogers goal and Dan King's spot-kick sent them out. Harry Warner scored both of the losers' goals.
Biddestone Social remain in the hunt for a third cup success after winning 7-1 at Division 2 outfit Somerford.
The 2010 and 2011 winners were kept at bay for 19 minutes by the underdogs before four goals in the next 20 put the outcome beyond doubt. Danny Jones put Biddestone ahead and two goals each from Tyler Sibbick, Martin Johnson and Kieran Baggs – his second a penalty – completed the job. Jamie Holloway replied for Somerford.
Corsham United took advantage of Bradford Renegades' cup commitments to move to the top of the SK Fruits Limited Chippenham Sunday League Division 1 table with a 2-1 success over Bromham.
James Hernandez deflected Jamie Murphy's goalbound effort in to give Corsham the lead. Jim Sandiford restored parity, only for Andy Wilkins' winner to secure a quickfire league double for Corsham, who won the reverse fixture 6-2 a week previously.
Division 3 leaders Corsham Park Rangers also completed back-to-back victories over the same opponents after defeating Pack Horse Rangers 6-1.
Matthew Spear netted from the spot on his way to a double and efforts from Joe Forester, Kadir Ayhan, Simon Young and Owen Bryan completed Corsham's half-dozen. Tom Butterfield was on target for Pack Hourse, who were edged out 6-5 in a closer contest the week before.
FC North Wiltshire opened up a two-point lead at the top of Division 4 after they defeated third-placed Old Road 6-1.
Simon Gray hit a hat-trick for Wilts, with Dan Dring, Dan Deacon and Jason Brooks-Stevens adding the others and Matt Croston netting for Old Road.
