Student wannabes take University of Bath basketball test
The University of Bath’s basketball teams are ready for a tough season following their success of last year.
While the men’s team finished 2011-12 unbeaten and gained promotion to the Premier South League, the women’s side topped their division to move up to Western 1A.

Last week the club held an open trials session to spot the cream of the university’s new intake of students.
Well over 100 men and women turned out to try for a place in one of the three senior teams the club is fielding this year.

Men’s 1st team coach Matt Analts was in upbeat mood after watching the freshers in action but warned: “This is going to be a testing season for us but the target has to be to secure a top-eight finish and to establish our place in this league.”
