Station to hit the internet
A new radio station serving Bath will be launched this weekend.
Bath City Sound will start its output at 12.12pm on Sunday.
The internet station aims to be a not-for-profit community service which will see young people at the heart of its broadcasting.
The first four weeks of output will include material recorded at events last year as the team behind it tests equipment and trains new presenters.
The station, which involves former Bath FM breakfast show presenter Ian Dore, will encourage listeners to help shape its musical playlist.
Director and presenter Richard Warren said they had found some "extraordinary" presenting talent. They are all incredibly energetic and have a true passion for Bath and radio as a whole. It's amazing what you find if you just give people the opportunity."
Mr Dore said the station wanted to set high standards.
"Just because we are online doesn't mean it should be any less professional than our FM and DAB counterparts.
"As an energetic new social enterprise, these are empowering, exciting and fun times."
