Squires crowned
BOWLS A 27-year wait came to an end for bowler David Squires as he lifted the club championship at Corsham Bowls Club for the first time.
Squires, 40, has been a member of the club since he was 13 and finally gained his revenge over old rival Keith Fletcher in the men's singles final.
Fletcher had lifted the title 15 times before, beating Squires in the final on three of those occasions, but was beaten 21-17.
Squires said: "I was very pleased to win it, especially as my mum and dad were there to see it."
