On Saturday my wife and I had a great evening at the Millennium Stadium thanks to the Speedway Grand Prix tickets we won in a Bath Chronicle competition.

We had a great traffic-dodging ride on the motorbike – no toll on the bridge one way either! – and it only cost £10 in petrol. We really had great excitement – and so cheaply.

To top it all Bristol-born Australian Jason Crump rode a maximum 24 points – only the second time in history that anyone has done that.
