Sophie lifts Salver after close finish
WOMEN'S Sophie Keech carried off the Harper Salver after winning the West of England Amateur Open Ladies' Championship at Bath on Sunday.
The Lyme Regis scratch player carded scores of 74 and 75 for a one-over-par winning gross total of 149.
Four shots covered the first five players, with Katherine O'Connor (Tadmarton Heath) second on 150 and Shelby Smart (Knowle) and Chelsea Masters (Highwoods) one behind. Becky Gibbs (Burnham & Berrow) came fifth on 152.
Four-handicapper Eloise Healey (West Lancashire) had the best nett score of 147.

The prizes were presented by the event sponsor, author Diney Costeloe, who also handed each competitor a copy of one of her books.
Championship secretary Janet Fear said: "The course was no pushover, with the standard scratch increased to 75 from 74.
"There were lots of compliments from the competitors about the course and they really enjoyed the added challenge of different pin positions in the afternoon.
"My thanks go to everyone who helped make the day run so smoothly and to the staff and members of Bath Golf Club, who make us all feel so welcome."
