The rain will become lighter and patchy towards dawn.
It will be very windy with gales along the south coast. Minimum temperature will be 9C.
Tomorrow it will be cloudy with patchy rain first thing.
It will be drier for a time, and perhaps brighter in the north before further persistent rain arrives during the afternoon, turning heavy later.
Over the weekend, it looks dry and bright on Saturday with light winds.
Cloud is increasing overnight with heavy rain and strong winds spreading north through Sunday.
There will be blustery showers following on Monday.
