AVON Kai Harwood is looking forward to leading Avon into uncharted territory after being named as club captain for an unprecedented seventh year running.

Harwood, who skippered the 1st XV to promotion to Western Counties North for the first time in their history last season, was elected at the club's AGM.

Ed Boulton has taken over as skipper of the 2nd XV, who will play in Somerset 2 North.

Off the field, John Sutherland continues as chairman, Tony Mutlow as president and stalwart Steve Mead as secretary. Chris Mutlow has taken on responsibility for fixtures and grounds, while twin brother Dan takes over as bar manager in conjunction with Ian Northcott and Rory Worsman. Paul Kirby has taken on the treasurer's role, while Matt Sutherland continues to look after sponsorship and the club shop.
