General manager Jo Hall looks forward to a racing return...

We have had a small break in proceedings at Lansdown over the past few days, which the track has welcomed along with the autumn rain.

But we are ready for racing again and have seven exiting races on Monday, starting at 2.20pm over one mile and two furlongs.

Course favourites April Ciel, Cyril the Squirrel, Jawim and Lucky Diva all have entries so it promises to be a great day out.

Last weekend's racing at Newbury saw a progressive two-year-old, Moohaajim, light up the track to claim the Mill Reef Stakes.

The Marco Botti-trained colt deserved his 5/2 favouritism and is now 25-1 for the 2,000 Guineas next year – very good value if you like an ante-post bet.

He will probably run again this season as he is entered for the Dewhurst Stakes and the Middle Park, which will be more of an indication of his ability to stay over a mile and his Guineas potential.

This weekend sees a super competitive handicap in the form of the Cambridgeshire over one mile at Newmarket.

Mukhadram is the ante-post favourite but there will be a lot of other opposition so shop around for the best odds and deals as some bookmakers may pay out five places.

Over the Rowley mile, the fillies and mares will take to the turf in the Sun Chariot Stakes. The Henry Cecil- trained Beauty Parlour is favourite for the race, although she does face some strong opposition from Aidan O'Brien's Up.

She is coming off the back of two impressive wins in Ireland and is definitely worth an each way bet if she stays at her current odds of 10/1.
