School heads in the Bath area were today anxiously watching the skies and the weather forecasts before deciding whether to open their doors in the morning.

This afternoon Oldfield School said it would be closed tomorrow and a number of others have warned parents to be prepared to keep their children at home.

Twerton Infants School is set to close if the amber snow warning stays in place for Bath overnight and into tomorrow.

Cameley Primary School said text messages would be sent out first thing tomorrow to confirm whether they would be open or closed and Castle Primary School said they would be assessing the situation early tomorrow.
