ST JOHN'S CHARITY CONCERT
The 22nd annual charity concert at St John's in Batheaston features Dvorak's Cello Concerto and Stanford's Seventh Symphony.
Dvorak wrote his concerto while he was in New York and much impressed by the cello's qualities as a solo instrument after hearing a concerto by Victor Herbert.
The programme will also include a Lachian Dance by Janacek.
The soloist is Linda Stocks on cello.
