Running the Half Marathon in a costume? Send us your pictures
From bananas to boobs, and cartoon characters to carrots, people have always run the Bath Half Marathon in imaginative costumes.
Characters from books have been brought to life along the route, much to the delight of the cheering spectators, while other runners have used face paints and wigs to transform themselves.
People have dressed up to show loyalty to different charities, from dogs to support Bath Cats and Dogs Home, men in pink tutus for Breast Cancer Care, and a pair who dressed as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and a house to support Dorothy House.
This year The Chronicle wants to find the best costumes in the race on Sunday March 3. If you’re running the 13.1 miles in fancy dress, email a picture of yourself in it to news@bathchron.co.uk. You can do that ahead of the race or on the day itself, and we’ll use the best ones on thisisbath.co.uk and in the paper. A judging panel made up of representatives from The Chronicle and Bath Half organiser Running High will select the best costume, and the winner will get free entry for the 2014 race.
