Royal Marine Band concert in Bath - and there's a chance to win tickets
The Royal Marine Band will be the star attraction at a fundraising concert in Bath next month.
The event at The Forum on Friday March 15 is being put on by the city’s three Rotary clubs to raise money for the Friends of Bath Young Carers and the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.
The concert will also feature bands, choirs and musicians from local schools.
The Portsmouth-based Royal Marine Band will be led by its director of music Captain Peter Curtis, who was educated at Culverhay School and learned the cornet at the Salvation Army at Green Park.
The concert is being sponsored by Rotork, and tickets can be obtained from Bath Box Office and cost £25, £15 or £10 each, half price for children under 16.
* Three pairs of £15 tickets are up for grabs in a competition in connection with the event.
All you have to do is identify the three instruments pictured here.
Send your answers on a postcard to Marine Concert Competition, The Bath Chronicle, Westpoint, James Street West, Bath, BA1 2DA, or email email@example.com.
The first three correct sets of answers to be picked at the closing time of midday on March 7 will win the tickets.
Normal Bath Chronicle rules apply.
