Royal Crescent Bath serves up BBC's Masterchef
Bath will be put in the spotlight this week as the city has been chosen as the location for this week’s Masterchef.
The episode has been filmed at the Royal Crescent and the finalists will be divided into two teams of five, with a challenge of preparing lunch for 100 people at the Jane Austen Festival.

Masterchef judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode
The contestants have just three hours to create six savoury dishes and two deserts between them, with a range of ingredients including chicken, salmon, duck, gooseberries, basil, figs and quince.
They must serve the food on the Royal Crescent lawn in the episode which will see contestants cook for the public for the first time.
Masterchefs John Torode and Gregg Wallace will then decide which team were the best, sending the successful five being made responsible for one course at an exclusive dinner.
The episode will air on BBC 1 on Wednesday evening at 9pm.

“Read the article again. It doesn't say they are chefs. Masterchefs (as in the programme) Greg (costermonger) Wallace and antipodean Twit Torode.”

“Greg 'Stuffing my face whilst making disturbing noises doesn't get tougher than this' Wallace is not a chef let alone a 'Masterchef'.”
