Robots cause a stir at Chippenham College
To some of us 'the robot' dance moves stay on the dance floor, however Chippenham College students were stunned to see an actual dancing robot.
NAO is a 57cm robot who is fully programmable and introduced itself to students and staff.
Active Robots who specialises in electronics and robotics brought the robot into the college to show students.
In a talk to students, Marc Duruy from Aldebaran Robotics in Paris who is partnered with Active Robots said: "It's important that robots can interact with the world like us, their peers and be able to do things that we do such as open a door, and climb the stairs."

NAO the robot is fitted with a camera, sensors, and microphones including a voice synthesiser.
NAO impressed onlookers with its dancing skills and showed its interest in Michael Jackson tunes. It also has the ability to sing and stop itself from falling off the table using the built in pressure sensors.
"Our purpose for building robots is for better living. We have a need for assistance as we are living longer and one day there will be not enough young people to look after the elderly," Marc Duruy.
The Robot gave students an even bigger treat by dancing to lastest dance craze Gangham style.
Ben Tyas, 18, from Corsham said: "I have never seen a robot dance Gangham Style before, it was very impressive and overall the robot was very funny. It is very clever."
Tom Offin, 18, from Chippenham who is studying BETEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in IT said: "I really enjoyed this demonstration because I want to study Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence at university and so it was very relevant to me."
