Notice is hereby given that the Bath and North East Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close temporarily to vehicles that length of the B3110 Midford Road, Bath, extending from its junction with Midford Lane, in a westerly direction for approximately 200 metres to its junction with Old Midford Road.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road consequent upon the construction of a new footway and will be operative from the â¨9th February 2013 for a maximum period of two months. However, the restrictions may not be effected for the whole of the period but it is anticipated that the road will be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessary to execute the works which it is anticipated will be for NINE DAYS.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE – B3110 (Midford Road, Midford Hill, Bath Road), C466 Branch Road, A36 (Warminster Road, Beckford Road, Sydney Place, Darlington Street, Pulteney Road, (Claverton Street/Lower Bristol Road, Rossiter Road)), A367 (Wells Road, Wellsway), A3062 Frome Road, B3110 Midford Road (unaffected part).

“Yep I saw the small sign by the Hope and Anchor. Would have missed it had I not been informed about the road closure by the bus driver.
Bath and North East Somerset Council Traffic and Safety at its best again.... Grit anyone??”

“"They'll be a "road closed" sign in the middle of the road on Feb 9th"
Bet you it won't. It'll be on the new pavement blocking pedestrian access. Just like with all road works.”
