WILTSHIRE SUNDAY CUP Luck was not on Bradford Renegades' side as they crashed to a 4-2 defeat to holders FC Jager in the second round last weekend.

The match between the SK Fruits Chippenham Sunday League sides was the only local tie to survive the sudden arctic weather, with Renegades doing a miraculous job with their pitch forks to ensure the Poulton Playing Field was cleared.

And it looked like their efforts would be rewarded when they twice took the lead, with Sam Jordan latching onto Lance Davis' long pass for the opener and confidently dispatching a penalty following a shove on Jordan Pinder for his second.

However, Jager were able to equalise quickly on both occasions, through Dan Moore's clever near-post flick and Danny Griffiths' looping half-volley.

The second goal came against a replacement keeper, called into action after Darren Phoenix suffered a suspected broken finger with the scores at 1-1.

And he had to watch from the sidelines as Jager scored twice more late on through Dan Moore to take the tie away from Renegades.

FC North Wiltshire forfeited their away match against AFC Melksham.

All games in the Chippenham League were postponed.
