Raising charity money becomes a piece of cake for Sandra Monger
Award-winning Bath cake designer Sandra Monger has helped Dorothy House Hospice Care to launch its latest fundraising initiative by baking and decorating a cake for Valentine's Day.
Sandra, who was named Celebration Cake Maker of the Year in last year's Baking Industry Awards, is supporting the Piece of Cake challenge, which encourages people to bake a cake to share with family and friends for the charity.

Community fundraiser Yvonne Brunton said: "It's so easy to turn any gathering into a fundraiser for Dorothy House – a piece of cake, in fact. Just decide on your event, pick a date and a venue, send out the invitations and ask your baking friends to rustle up a cake or two – and there you have it."

“In response to jezer I would say everything in moderation, although sometimes a bit of what you fancy does you good! And when its for a good cause you can't really argue.”

“Well, I am a regular volunteer at Dorothy House, but I am not sure that cakes are the way to go. Way too much sugar and fat I would think!”
