Raise your glasses for Fourth Cider Festival
Bath-based promoter CiderFestivals.co.uk is holding its fourth festival at Bath Pavilion next weekend.
Today we are offering readers a chance to win six pairs of tickets to the event which takes place on Friday and Saturda,y February 12 and 13.
On offer will be more than 80 ciders and perries including award-winning ciders from across the West Country and Wales as well as hog roast rolls and cheese platters, and a range of soft drinks for the drivers.
As well as the cider and perry, the festivals will offer the best in local entertainment. Somerset's premier Wurzels tribute band The Mangledwurzels (pictured top right) will be playing a full show at all three sessions, providing their own brand of Wurzels-flavoured, cider-fuelled Scrumpy and Western madness to help you drink up thy cider.
Festival organiser Chris Lilley said: "The festival has proved a huge success. We held the first Bath Cider Festival in 2007 and the event's popularity has been growing ever since. Last year all evening sessions sold out and I would urge anyone planning to come along to get their tickets in advance. We hate turning people away at the door, but once the event is sold out – that's it!"
The band is looking forward to the festival. The band's singer Hedge Cutter said: "We have done several of these festivals and we never tire of them. Imagine over a thousand cider drinkers dancing around and singing along to Drink Up They Cider and I Can Drive A Tractor – and you get an idea of how crazy these events are. We loves 'em!" The fourth Bath Cider Festival takes place on Friday, February 12 (7.30pm to 11pm) and Saturday, February 13 (11am to 4pm and 7.30pm to 11pm) at Bath Pavilion, North Parade. Tickets for all sessions are £6.50 in advance and £7.50 on the door. Tickets for all sessions are on sale now at clstickets.co.uk . Call 01225 330304. The Mangledwurzels will be playing a complete show at each session.
