Poundland in star start
The expanding budget chain Poundland is opening a store in Bath city centre.
The firm's new store in Westgate Street serves its first customers today.
There will be a celebration day on Saturday when actress Catherine Tyldesley, who plays Eva Price in the soap Coronation Street, will be at the store meeting customers between 10am and 1pm.
The discount chain, which sells brands and its own range of goods for only £1, has moved into the unit left empty by the closure of clothing shop Store Twenty-One last month.
