Police record of trouble at venue
The police log of incidents at the Blue Rooms includes:
May 25, 2012 at 1.30am: A man left Blue Rooms and kicked a car in George Street belonging to one of the door staff. He was dragged down an alleyway, assaulted, before being bundled into a vehicle and driven to a cash machine to get money to pay for the damage.
August 14, 2012 at 3.01am: Police called because more than 80 people had left Blue Rooms and were blocking George Street, refusing to move on. No door staff in attendance, so police call the nightclub to request door staff but only one turns up.
September 7, 2012 at 12.30am: Fight outside club after one person hit over head with champagne bottle and friend bitten. Five people were arrested.

“Well when the Rugby crowd used to go in there and thought they owned the place it was common knowledge that there was "extra" at the Bar.
It took a long time for the "Rugby" crowd to test positive and by then they had moved on to opening a coffee shop where 2 sugars didnt quite mean that!”

“The clientele has obviously shifted since the last time I went in there around 10 years ago. Back then, it was full of old farts trying their luck with women young enough to be their daughters. And the drinks were hideously expensive! It's always been a rubbish venue. I decided back then to only drink in old men's pubs where you stick to the carpet and that aren't full of arrogant wannabes.”

“I went there last summer with a friend who was down in Bath and wanted to 'go to a club'. It's not the sort of place I would normally frequent and quite frankly the reports above do not surprise me based on what I witnessed (we left after one very quick drink). The place was full of people who barely looked old enough to be in there, swigging cheap fizz out of bottles. At least two males had their shirts fully unbuttoned. Nearly everyone in there looked like they wanted to be an extra in a rap music video and there was a general air of threatening braggadocio. Awful, simply awful.”
