Police praise for 82-year-old woman targeted by burglar
An 82-year-old woman has been praised by police for stopping a burglar from talking his way into her home.
The man approached the woman near her Keynsham home, first offering to carry her shopping bags and then claiming his was from the council.
But the woman became suspicious and refused to let him into her home and when he claimed to be from the council to do some gardening demanded proof of his identity.
The 82-year-old was approached at around 4.30pm on Monday, October 22, in Keynsham.

The man was said to be white, aged around 20, slim and 5ft 2ins tall with dark curly hair swept back and with a moustache.
He was wearing a black jacket with badges and dark trousers.
