TENNIS Beechen Cliff's boys' first team are comfortably through to the regional play-offs of the AEGON Winter Senior Students tennis competition.

They scored victories over St Mary Redcliffe and Temple School, by four matches to love, and Writhlington School, by six matches to love.

The draw for the last 32 nationally will be held shortly and the next round will be played in January.

Captain Jon Derrick, George Hancock, Ocsar Baker and Charlie Scott deserve credit for their commitment and effort in training recently, often in poor weather outdoors, to prepare for the fixtures.
