People are being encouraged to get involved in a project to help spread the word about environmentally-friendly living.

Volunteers are being sought for Bath Green Homes, a scheme organised by Transition Bath, the Bath Preservation Trust and Bath and North East Somerset Council.

The project includes a programme of events throughout March and April, including the Green Living Fair at Green Park Station on March 24 and the annual Open Homes Weekend on April 13 and 14, which showcases energy efficient homes around the area.

Volunteer co-ordinator Fiona Williams said: "There are lots of ways that volunteers can get involved - no experience is necessary. We offer support and training for all our volunteers including a workshop on home energy efficiency. Volunteering for Bath Green Homes is a great way to gain experience, meet interesting people and be part of an exciting local project."
