Among the plans to save the £12 million next year are:

● £70,000 to be cut from floral displays;

● £40,000 from spending on tourism promotion;

● £50,000 from axing mobile libraries;

● £825,000 from residential care for people with learning difficulties;

● £294,000 from savings in commissioning services from health provider Sirona;

● £320,000 from a renegotiated recycling contract;

● £100,000 to be cut from gully cleaning;

● £100,000 by getting landlord Somer to fund more housing adaptations;

● £200,000 from a new transport contract.
