Photo shoot puts Bath architecture in the spotlight
A new advertising campaign for the city kicked off this week with a special photo shoot.
Bath Tourism Plus and the Bath Business Improvement District are working in partnership to promote the city to regional and national audiences emphasising its architecture, as well as the up and coming Bath in Fashion.
The shoot, with photographer Simon Powell, was directed by Steve Haskins of So Design and styled by Rebekah Roy who creates the catwalk looks for Bath in Fashion and has styled top models including Kate Moss, Erin O’Connor and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
She said: “I love working in Bath. I used outfits for the shoot from Bath independents who I know so well after working with them on Bath in Fashion.”
Chief Executive of Bath Tourism Plus, Nick Brooks-Sykes, said the spring campaign would help remind people what Bath had to offer.
He said: “We aim to make sure that Bath is front of mind when people are thinking of taking a shopping trip or short break. Focusing on our key two-hour drive time catchment area, including London, the Midlands South Wales and the South West, our eye-catching campaign will inspire people to come to Bath to shop, eat and stay. With many other destinations competing for visitors, it’s vital that Bath continues to have high profile marketing activities to support its retail and tourism businesses.”
Bath in Fashion 2013 runs from April 13 to 21 April and will include talks by celebrities, catwalks and exhibitions. For more information visit, www.bathinfashion.co.uk
