Pegging horse hope on Norton Radstock College lecturer

Students at Norton Radstock College in Keynsham are helping their lecturer go for gold in an international competition.

Dawn Watkins will be managing the Great Britain team in the little-known sport of tentpegging in a World Cup competition for the second time.

Last year her team of horse riders won silver and the equine students are staging a training weekend for the team at HorseWorld in Whitchurch.

Dawn said the students had to cover a unit on event management and in their first week managed to get sponsorship from a clothing firm, with other companies also expressing an interest.
