Olympic champion Helen Glover has new partner for first Rowing World Cup
Olympic champion Helen Glover will have a new partner when she returns to the water this weekend at the first World Cup of the season.
The Minerva Bath rower famously started Team GB’s gold rush last summer when she teamed up with University of Bath graduate Heather Stanning to secure the women’s pair title.

Stanning is now back on duty with the British Army, though, and Polly Swann – who narrowly missed a 2012 women’s eight place after picking up an injury – will be her replacement in Sydney.
Glover and Swann will also race in the eight, alongside former Minerva Bath rower Vicky Thornley, Frances Houghton, Katie Greves, Beth Rodford, Jess Eddie, Victoria Meyer-Laker and cox Zoe De Toledo.
