Newbridge book Steve Fear Cup final place
BATH SATURDAY Newbridge reached their first Roper Rhodes Bathrooms Bath & District Saturday League cup final thanks to a 2-0 success at Saltford.
The first half of last weekend's Steve Fear Cup semi-final was tight but the hosts hit the woodwork twice after the break, while Newbridge missed a couple of chances.
William Oswin broke the deadlock with a curling free-kick into the bottom corner and Newbridge created numerous opportunities on the counter-attack as their opponents looked for an equaliser.
They failed to take them until Oscar Lloyd wrapped up the victory with seven minutes to go, securing a date at Mayday Trust Park in the spring in the process.
