New plea for crash witnesses
Police have issued a further appeal for witnesses to a fatal traffic collision near Bath last weekend which killed a 74-year-old man.
One man has already been arrested in connection with the crash but a post mortem has revealed that a second car could have been involved.
The victim, Philip Davis, who was from Warmley, died after he was hit by a car while walking along the A420 at Tog Hill near Wick at about 11pm on Sunday June 28.
A 37-year-old man from the South Gloucestershire area was arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and his car seized for forensic examination. He has been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.
However a post mortem examination has suggested that a second vehicle may have been involved but did not stop at the scene and it is possible the driver may not have realised what had happened.
