New Shoots
Bath Folk, in association with Real World Studios, has launched its New Shoots Competition.
Organisers say: "We want to seek out and nurture the very best new talent emerging within the South West folk scene.
"To do this, we are giving fresh, unsigned folk acts the chance to compete for our top prize: A day of recording time at Real World Studios."
All competition entrants will be required to play at one of the four heats to qualify for the Sunday, August 18 final.
