Amy, 18, from Bristol, has been Miss Bristol for a year.
She will now be swapping her Miss Bristol sash for a Miss Bath one, and will go on to represent the city in the Miss England semi-final in June.
Student Amy said: “I never expected to win. I didn’t tell some of my friends I had entered because I didn’t want to put too much pressure on myself.
“When I won I was so shocked and over the moon.”
Twelve women took part in the event in front of judges Bath city player Scott Murray, Dappa hair salon manager Clint Sheppard, and the reigning Miss England, Jessica Linley.
One section of the competition was an eco-round, which required participants to wear a ball gown which had been passed down to them, or bought in a charity shop.
Amy chose to wear her grandmother’s wedding dress, to mark the fact that her grandparents are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this year.
Amy said: “I couldn’t believe it when my grandma offered to lend me her wedding dress.
“I was more worried and nervous that I might rip the dress, than I was nervous about winning the competition.”
Organiser Angie Beasley said: “The event was a success and all the girls enjoyed taking part.
“The audience was full, and everyone seemed to enjoyed it.”
As part of the competition the finalists were up for the vote on the website, with the girl with the most votes is eligible for the Miss Popularity round of the contest.
This was won by 17-year-old student Rebeccah Morjaria, who has also been awarded a place in the Miss England semi-final.
The Miss Bath runner up was Harriet Letheren, 21, from Chippenham, who works for Phones4U in Bath.
The Miss England semi-final will be held on Monday June 13.

Ha, ha, ha, ha etc...
Well, that's going to save the planet then. (note that it was 'lent'). If she wants to contribute she should wear less chemicals on her face.
Since when was Bristol included in the catchment area for Bath?”
