RACQUET The Lansdown Club at Northfields has a special new year's offer to encourage people to pick up a tennis or squash racquet in 2010.

A year's membership for either sport has been reduced to £250, while combined membership for both tennis and squash is £350.

The offer is open until January 31 to new members and former members who left the club more than three months ago. Subscriptions must be paid up front by cash or cheque and rates will return to normal for the second year of membership.
