Murder probe at picnic area near Bath called off
Police have called off a murder inquiry after deciding that a man whose body was found at a picnic area near Bath had died of natural causes.
A man had been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body was found in the picnic area off the A46 close to junction 18 of the M4.
Police and ambulance crews had been called to the site at around 10.30pm on Sunday, and the area had been sealed off for forensic inquiries.
But police said a post-mortem had concluded the man had died of natural causes.

A spokeswoman said: “Next of kin have been informed and the man in custody on suspicion of murder has been eliminated from the enquiry.”
Paramedics had found him unconscious and not breathing, and confirmed that was dead.
The identity of the dead man has not been released.
