Moving on
I would like the right to reply to Mr Jack Sparrow's article in today's Chronicle (Thursday January 17). Mr Sparrow, I note from your article that you have lived in Bath since 1983 so you think that you have a sole right to decide that Bath rugby and other sports should not be allowed to improve the facilities for all sports including rugby on the Rec.
I am Bath born and bred my children, my brother, my wife, my farther, my grandfather, my great grand father, my great, great grandfather were all born and bred in Bath and that includes my wife's family. I would like to see the West stand demolished as I also think it is an eyesore but in its place a new stand with cafe, wine bar etc on the river side which would improve whole of the area adjoining the river.
Bath Rugby over the years have brought many thousands of people to Bath and are known world wide, and that has only been great for the city and the many businesses in Bath.
Mr Sparrow if you object to what the majority of the many businesses and supporters And friends of the Rec want you can do is use your democratic right to move on and find another back garden.
