Friends and family joined together to celebrate the 100th birthday of Miriam Wilson.

Mrs Wilson was born in Ealing, West London, in 1912, and married her husband George in 1937.

She worked as a housekeeper until she had her two children Gordon and Sheila.

The family lived in Wembley, where Mrs Wilson stayed until a few years after her husband's death.

She then moved to Peasedown St John to live with Gordon, his wife Carole, and their three children Neil, Sarah and Annabel.

Her daughter Sheila, who has two children Karen and Alison, lives in Kent, and regularly visits.

Mrs Wilson recently moved to Beechcroft Residential Home in Midsomer Norton, and celebrated her birthday with family, including her 11 great grandchildren James, Edward, Olivia, Madison, Emma, Madeleine, Freya, Craig, Troy, Christopher and Bradley.
