Young apprentices at the City of Bath College have received a visit from a Government minister.
Building and construction students met with Lord Young, the minister for employment relations, to show him the work they are doing and the facilities they are using.

Lord Young talks to students at City of Bath College
He is the latest politician to visit the college in recent months, with others including the Liberal Democrat treasury spokesman Vince Cable and shadow minister John Hayes.
College principal Matt Atkinson said everyone should be proud of the high standard of learning offered to his students.
He said: “I’m delighted that Lord Young specifically requested to visit City of Bath College to learn more about what we do for our apprentices.
“The college has a growing, and well deserved, reputation as one of the best providers of apprenticeships in the South West, equipping students with the valuable skills they need to build a successful career.”
Meanwhile lecturers at the college are going to be filmed teaching their lessons as part of a £10,000 programme to spread good practice.
The Virtual Peer Observation Project will see the videos uploaded onto the college intranet, so colleagues can watch them and incorporate new ideas into their classes.
Money has been secured from the Learning and Skills Improvement Service’s excellence, improvement and innovation fund and media students will be behind the camera.
Lecturers can also request certain lessons to be filmed to get ideas for teaching a complex topic or seeing how staff use certain technology.
Quality improvement manager at the college Indira Krishnamma said: “This project will celebrate and share some of the fantastic teaching that goes on in classes across City of Bath College.”
