Minerva Bath host festive regatta
ROWING Minerva Bath kicked off the festivities when they took to the water for their Christmas scratch regatta.
The competitive spirit increased when teams were put together from names drawn out of a hat, mixing the men's, women's, vets and junior squads together.

Crews picked a cox from their five names and headed out for a battle of the fittest and fastest in 250m sprint races. Steve Lister, Dave Searby, Ellie Hawking, Molly Ricketts and cox Laura Cowan formed the winning crew and were awarded a new trophy.
Chairman Elaine Hoyes said: "Everyone who turned up for the races had a great time. Some took it very seriously, others couldn't wait for the race to be over to try the home-made mulled wine."
